Company to exhibit at booth #1215 in Tucson, spotlighting on-demand printed circuit board manufacturing for austere and mission-critical environments

AUSTIN, TX, UNITED STATES, October 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Electroninks, the leader in metal complex inks for additive manufacturing and advanced semiconductor packaging, today announced that it will exhibit at the Air Force Innovation Expo (AIX) 2026, taking place Oct. 26-27 at the Tucson Convention Center in Tucson, Arizona. Co-located with the 2026 ARC WEPTAC/DCP Conference, the expo connects solution providers with the operational leaders and decision-makers who shape Air Force capability needs. Electroninks will be at booth #1215, where the company will showcase CircuitJet IV, its desktop printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) foundry.

Representing Electroninks at the event will be Dr. Michael Bell, senior director of manufacturing systems and platforms; Dr. Cedric P. Ambulo, project manager; and Avery Gerber, sales and marketing associate. The team will be on-site throughout the expo to demonstrate the platform and discuss how on-demand circuit board production can support sustainment and rapid-response needs.

CircuitJet IV takes standard copper-clad FR4 and produces a populated, inspected two-layer circuit board in about two hours, all in a single machine. It pairs trusted industry processes with Electroninks’ bath-free, inkjet-dispensed via-plating chemistry, eliminating the chemical tanks and outsourced steps that have limited desktop board fabrication.

The platform integrates:
• A galvo-scanned laser for etching, drilling, routing and cutting slots
• A multi-head inkjet system for via plating, solder mask, legend and surface finish
• Stencil-free solder paste deposition and pick-and-place for 0402 passives and standard SMT ICs
• Automated optical inspection, with top and bottom vision
• HEPA filtration that allows operation in an office environment with no special ventilation

“When a maintenance team is waiting weeks on a circuit board, that is a readiness problem,” said Dr. Michael Bell, senior director of manufacturing systems and platforms at Electroninks. “CircuitJet IV puts a complete PCBA foundry on a bench so a team can go from design files to a populated, inspected board in hours, without sending designs outside the room. AIX gives us the chance to put that capability in front of the people who define these requirements.”

CircuitJet IV was developed under the U.S. Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office’s Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, which seeks to deliver on-demand printed circuit manufacturing to austere environments.

The system’s CircuitBuild software accepts open-standard Gerber and ODB++ files, automatically panelizes jobs and validates them against the machine’s capabilities before production begins. It runs locally with no internet connection or cloud account required, keeping design files on the bench. CircuitJet IV supports a 9-by-12-inch build area, trace widths down to 100 microns and spacing down to 50 microns. First production units are expected to ship by the end of 2026.

Attendees are invited to visit Electroninks at booth #1215. For more information on CircuitJet IV or to join the waitlist, please visit www.circuitjet.com. To learn more about Electroninks, visit www.electroninks.com.
