Private home dining passes 50 million YouTube views in year one, with hosts opening tables next to restaurants and hotels.
KAILUA-KONA, HI, UNITED STATES, October 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — A year after opening, private home dining is expanding alongside restaurants and hotels. The company intends to have the largest sit-down footprint of any chain in the world within 18 months. Taste the world, one family recipe at a time.
Supper at Home, Inc. has passed 50 million views on its YouTube channel, @SupperAtHome, in the first year since the platform opened on October 4, 2025. The channel sits in the top fraction of a percent of food channels in YouTube history. Almost none of that audience was bought.
The modern restaurant is usually dated to Paris in 1765. For most of human history before that, a meal with other people was eaten in someone’s home. The restaurant became the default, and then it jammed. Long waits, thin staffing, noise, and crowded rooms are now common in major cities. So is the waste. A commercial kitchen cooks for a forecast. What is not ordered is thrown out.
Shared-economy platforms had already shown that a scarce asset could be used without building more of it. Uber did not buy cars. Airbnb did not build hotels. COVID then closed the dining rooms and sent the meal back into the house. When the rooms reopened, a share of the demand did not fully come back, and the staffing did not fully come back either. Paul J. Gerstenberger and his wife, Celerina Gerstenberger, took that as the opening for a complement, not a replacement. A verified home kitchen, already built and already staffed by the person who knows the family recipes, could offer a private table in every neighborhood, next to the restaurants and hotels already there.
Supper at Home is the platform that makes that table verifiable and bookable. A diner reserves an entire table in a host’s home. The meal is cooked for that party. It is quiet. The service is the cook. Friends and family are the other seats. The host keeps most of the ticket. Food is bought for the booking. Hosts and diners are both verified through Persona before a meal is confirmed. A restaurant does not identify the person who walks in. This one does, on both sides of the table.
The first year was deliberately a host year. A private dinner only works when enough verified kitchens are open in a city, so the company spent the year on hosts, on patents, and on a template states could review. That density now exists in a number of large U.S. cities and their surrounding areas. Diners have started booking, early guests are returning strong reviews, and the dining side of the plan is now expanding exponentially as well.
Interest has outrun onboarding. Hosts are signing up and completing full questionnaires on Facebook, Instagram, and the platform, including a growing number outside the United States. Inbound inquiries passed 100 a day. The company slowed Facebook lead flow because it could not process the volume. Organic growth on both networks continues. The company is also in contact with sponsors whose products already sit on the table.
“We intended to spend the first year building host density and putting a workable framework in front of every state,” said Gerstenberger, Co-Founder and CEO. “Diners are now booking, hosts in many countries are asking to join, and we are working to get regulations updated so the thousands who have signed up or filled out a form can begin as well. We intend to have the largest sit-down footprint of any chain in the world within the next 18 months, measured by open host locations, without owning a single building. Taste the world, one family recipe at a time.”
Fourteen agentic AI patent applications are advancing toward full utility filings and PCT coverage in 155 countries, through Holland & Hart. One of them covers SupperTimeAI, a standalone, white-label system now being completed for restaurants and hospitality groups. It is built to cut the cost of late arrivals and no-shows, which still run near 20 percent in much of the industry. The company is in contact with Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies on licensing, partnership, and acquisition. The model is built to sit beside hotel groups and restaurant chains as a neighborhood experience, not to stand in their place.
A MEHKO-style template is in front of states that are reviewing home-kitchen rules. It includes a patent-pending remote inspection, run in real time by AI, so a state does not have to hire a new inspector corps, and it does not cap what a host can earn. Meals that move into a home kitchen also become taxable activity in that state.
Supper at Home, Inc. is debt-free and minority woman-owned. Celerina B. Gerstenberger, Co-Founder, President, and Chief Content Officer, leads the video and host content behind the 50 million views. An independent Carta 409A valued the company at $119.8 million in December 2025. That mark predates the full patent filings and the 155-country coverage, and it was set when the channel had about 3.7 million views and hosts still numbered in the hundreds. The company regards it as stale.
