In Charleston-Huntington, caregivers are requesting birthday cards from the public to celebrate a World War II veteran's 102nd birthday.
Charleston Huntington, WV, October 15, 2026 —
Caregivers in Charleston-Huntington are asking members of the public to send birthday cards for a World War II veteran who is turning 102.
The request is intended to mark the veteran’s birthday with greetings from the public. The trend summary does not identify the veteran, specify the date of the birthday or say where cards should be sent. It also does not provide a deadline, a mailing address or other instructions for people who may wish to participate.
The caregivers’ names and the veteran’s current location were not provided. No details were included about the veteran’s military service beyond identifying the person as a World War II veteran. The summary also does not describe how the card request began or how many cards caregivers hope to receive.
Without those details, the request is limited to its central information: caregivers in the Charleston-Huntington area are seeking birthday cards from the public for the veteran’s 102nd birthday. Further information about delivery arrangements or the celebration was not available in the summary.
